Un luchador con puños de hierro
Finalmente se estrena ‘Iron
Man’, la primera película producida totalmente
por la casa de Marvel Comics

Esta
semana llega a la pantalla grande "Iron
Man", interpretada por el reconocido Robert
Downey Jr. "Iron Man" arrives on the

05/02/08. El verano comienza
a estremecer la cartelera cinematográfica con
la llegada de grandes producciones, y entre las primeras
que registra una gran expectativa está “Iron
Man” (El Hombre de Hierro), un personaje que tiene
la identidad de Anthony Stark, llevado muy bien por
el actor Robert Downey Jr., quien es en la historia
un exitoso empresario multimillonario.
A Stark lo secuestran unos terroristas en Afganistán
obligándolo a construir un misil. El empresario
usa sus recursos para construir un poderoso traje de
batalla y lograr escapar. Ya de regreso en América,
usará toda clase de tecnología para equipar
su armadura y convertirse en el superhéroe Iron
Man. La primera aparición de Iron man fue en
el cómic “Tales of Suspense N° 39”,
en 1963.
Jon Favreau es quien dirige esta película, que
tuvo un presupuesto de aproximadamente 100 millones
de dólares. Para darle vida al personaje, se
trabajó en la captura de movimiento ocho meses
después de completar la fotografía para
que los movimientos con la armadura no se vieran forzados.
El director Jon Favreau dijo que la armadura es como
el cómic: roja y dorada, tiene la capacidad de
volar y posee un arsenal bélico de última
tecnología. “Espero que mantenga la identidad
original de la historieta, por lo que además
espero que sea la primera de varias secuelas”,
comentó el director.
En la película además participa la famosa
Gwyneth Paltrow, quien interpreta a Pepper Potts. Para
ella, hacer una película de este calibre fue
divertido y para nada fuera de base con lo que siempre
hace en otros géneros en el cine.
“De lo que se trata es de hacer buenos trabajos
con gente buena, ya que el género me da igual”,
comentó Paltrow recientemente. “Jon Favreau,
el director, me llamó y me dijo que estaba haciendo
una película basada en una antigua historieta.
Dijo que el contenido daba mucho de sí y que
era una buena metáfora. El reparto con Robert
Downey Jr., Jeff Bridges y Terrence Howard, me convenció.
Me dije ‘No puedo rechazarlo sólo porque
sea un film de acción’, y tomé el
papel”, comentó la actriz.

05/02/08. The summer
box office is starting to rumble with
the arrival of big productions, “Iron
Man” is among the first to be received
with great expectations. Iron Man is a
character whose identity is a successful
businessman Anthony Stark, very well portrayed
by actor Robert Downey Jr.
Stark is kidnapped by terrorists in Afghanistan
who force him to build a missile. The
businessman uses his resources to construct
a powerful war suit and escapes successfully.
Upon his return to the United States,
he uses all sorts of technology to equip
his armor and become the superhero Iron
Man.
Iron Man’s first appearance was
in the comic “Tales of Suspense
No. 39” in 1963.
Jon Favreau directs the film and had a
budget of approximately 100 million dollars.
To bring the character to life, he worked
to capture its movement eight months after
he completed the photography so that the
movements wouldn’t seem forced.
Director Favreau said that the armor is
the same as in the comic: red and gold,
and has the capacity to fly and possesses
a war arsenal with the latest technology.
“I hope that he maintains the same
original identity as the one in the comic,
furthermore, I hope that this will be
the first in a series of sequels,”
commented the director.
In the film as well is actress Gwyneth
Paltrow, who plays Pepper Potts. For her,
making a film of this caliber was enjoyable
and no different from what she usually
does in other films.
“It’s about making good films
with good people, regardless of the film’s
genre,” commented Paltrow. “Jon
Favreau, the director, called me and told
me he was working on a film based on an
old comic. He said that the content lent
a lot of itself and that it was a good
metaphor. The cast with Downey Jr., Jeff
Bridges and Terrence Howard convinced
me. I told myself ‘I can’t
turn it down just because it is an action
film,’ and I took the role.”
