05/02/08. The week
begins with two essential topics: one,
the controversial photos that Miley Cyrus
allowed to be taken by photographer Annie
Leibovitz for Vanity Fair magazine. It
seems that no one likes them. The other
topic, the injury that Chilean actor Cristián
de la Fuente suffered Monday night during
the live broadcast of “Dancing with
the Stars.” Cristián was
dancing samba with his dance partner Cheryl
Burke when he tore a tendon in his left
arm. Luckily, the Chilean wasn’t
eliminated from the competition, but he
will have to undergo surgery when the
show is over. From here on out, we wish
him luck.
We know you also like the cinematic chismes,
that’s why we couldn’t go
without telling you that Guillermo del
Toro will direct the film “The Hobbit,”
the prequel to the “Lord of the
Rings” trilogy. Ian McKellen (Gandalf)
and Andy Serkis (Gollum) have already
signed on to the project. America Ferrera
is also looking “film-like.”
Television’s “Ugly Betty”
has begun shooting the film “An
Invisible Sign of My Own” where
she plays an obsessive compulsive teacher
who finds calm in numbers.
We leave you with Brangelina, who arrived
in the south of France where some said
she will give birth.
