02/01/2008- La semana pasada le dijimos adiós al dios diseñador Valentino, que se ha retirado profesionalmente a los 75 años. Fue una semana marcada además por la temprana y trágica muerte del actor Heath Ledger y el frenesí mediático que ella ha causado.
Con el domingo llegó la tregua para la alfombra roja y la entrega de los Premios del Sindicato de Actores (SAG). Javier se hizo, como no, con el premio por su interpretación en “No Country for Old Men” y el reparto de los Soprano se llevó todos los premios a los que optaba. Desde aquí felicitamos a los italoamericanos.
Pero lo mejor de los SAG fueron sin duda los trapitos. La actriz francesa Marion Cotillard lució un vestido de Nina Ricci simplemente divino. Eva Longoria nos recordó en la alfombra roja que ya no es Eva Longoria, sino Eva Longoria Parker. Vimos a los chicos y chicas de “Ugly Betty” y, sobre todo, la noche nos dejó la foto de una Angelina Jolie vistiendo sospechosamente holgada.
Hace días que se especula sobre el posible embarazo, nada más y nada menos que de gemelos, de la actriz. El vestido del domingo fue una especie de confirmación no oficial…
Hoy la cosa va de trapos. La Posh Spice Girl ha posado, desnuda pero púdicamente cubierta, para una camiseta del otro dios diseñador Marc Jacobs en la que nos recuerdan lo importante que es cuidar y proteger nuestra piel. Los beneficios por la venta de esta prenda se usarán en la lucha contra el cáncer de piel.
Y esta semana sí que vamos a hablar de Britney pero solo porque parece que George Clooney se acaba de enterar de que son vecinos y está pensando en mudarse…

02/01/2008- Last week we said goodbye to god designer Valentino, who retired at age 75. It was a week marked by actor Heath Ledger’s early and tragic death and the media frenzy it caused.
Sunday the promise of a red carpet was fulfilled with the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Javier, naturally, took the award for his work in “No Country for Old Men” and the cast of “The Sopranos” took all the awards they were up for. From here we’d like to congratulate the Italian American clan.
But the best part of SAG was the rags. French actress Marion Cotillard wore a divine Nina Ricci gown. On the red carpet, Eva Longoria reminded us that she is no longer just Eva Longoria but Eva Longoria Parker. We saw the cast of “Ugly Betty” and, above all, the night left us with the pictures of Angelina Jolie dressed in a suspiciously loose gown.
There has been a lot of buzz lately about the actress’ possible pregnancy with none other than twins. Sunday’s gown was kind of an unofficial confirmation.
And yes, today we are all about rags. Posh Spice Girl has posed, naked but chastely covered, for a T-shirt by the other god designer Marc Jacobs. This charity cloth wants us to remember how important it is to take care of our skin and protect it and its benefits will help on the fight against skin cancer.
And yes again, this week we will do speak about Britney but only because it seems that George Clooney has just found out they are neighbors and is thinking of moving out…
