su ‘Fuerza Tour’

La

NUEVA YORK Superado un cáncer
de mama, Alejandra Guzmán se pone de puntita
y tutú para su gira musical “Fuerza Tour”
y le grita al público que “viva la vida”.
La rockera mexicana, que después de una década
retomó sus clases de ballet exhortada por su
madre, la actriz Silvia Pinal, dijo que sus próximos
conciertos serán una mezcla de romanticismo,
sensualidad y reflexión en los que incluirá
desde pasos de danza clásica hasta actos de danza
exótica.
“Traigo unos cuantos numeritos bien cachondos”,
adelantó la Guzmán a la AP en una entrevista
telefónica sobre su gira, que arrancó
el miércoles en Laredo, Texas.
“En lugar de bailarines metí coristas que
cantan y bailan... y de pronto escojo a alguien del
público y le bailo bien cerquita, se lo pongo
donde siempre quisieron (risas) y lo más divertido
es lo prendida que se pone la gente, les encanta”,
dijo.
Preguntada acerca de cuántos temas interpretaría:
“Los que me pidan”, afirmó la artista.
Pero en principio son unos 23 en poco menos de dos horas.
La gira sigue a su más reciente disco, “Fuerza”,
que salió en noviembre en México y Estados
Unidos y para el que compuso la mayoría de los
cortes, incluidos los sencillos “Soy sólo
un secreto” y “Hasta el final”.
Este último se lo compuso a su hija adolescente
en uno de sus momentos más difíciles:
atravesando un cáncer de mama por el que tuvo
que someterse a una operación de emergencia y
del que se dice completamente recuperada.
“Me siento bien contenta de estar viva, de estar
bien, de poder escribir algo bueno, de sacar ese dolor
y ese miedo en una canción y decirle a la gente
que viva la vida”, dijo.
“Y este disco para mí es un éxito...
porque pude producir algo después de salir del
hospital con (el italiano) Lori Cheroni, que es un gran
productor... y pude hablar de cosas que me han pasado,
de cosas vividas. Creo que nunca había disfrutado
tanto al hacer un disco como ahora”.
Tras atravesar múltiples altibajos en su vida
personal, incluidos escándalos de alcohol y drogas,
la Guzmán dijo que su problema le enseñó
“a vivir, a disfrutar cada momento”.
“Aprendí a decir todo lo que siento y decirlo
así, sin miedo de lo que pase. Y aprendí
a acercarme a la gente que más me quiere, a mi
mamá, a mi hija, a mi padre (el cantante Enrique
Guzmán) y decirles: ‘!Carajo! !Te quiero!
No soy nada más la rebelde, la loca, la que viene,
canta y menta madres. Soy tu hija y te amo’”.
Ahora que será portavoz de Ser, una campaña
de prevención de cáncer de mama, Guzmán
hará un llamado a las jovencitas para que se
realicen el autoexamen y se mantengan alerta.
“Nunca es demasiado tarde”, declaró.
“A mí me fue muy bien porque tuve suerte
que lo encontré a tiempo. Hay que estar consciente
de que es una enfermedad cada vez más grande
y la podemos prevenir, detectar y destruir. Es cosa
de conciencia”.

Breast cancer survivor,
Alejandra Guzman has dusted off her ballerina
shoes and tutu for her tour “Fuerza
Tour” and she tells her fans “viva
la vida.”
The Mexican rocker, who after a decade
is once again taking up ballet classes
as she was urged by her mother, actress
Silvia Pinal, said that her upcoming concerts
will be a mix of romanticism, sensuality
and reflection where she will also include
classic dance and exotic dance.
“I have a few very sexy numbers,”
said la Guzman to AP during a phone interview
about her tour that kicked off on Wednesday
in Laredo, Texas.
“In place of dancers, I put in a
chorus that sings and dances…and
I pick someone from the audience and I
dance really close to them, I put it where
they have always wanted me to (laughs)
and the most amusing part is the way the
audience goes crazy, they love it,”
she said. She was asked how many songs
she will perform: “Whatever they
ask me for,” the artist affirmed.
But in reality there will be 23 in less
than two hours.
The tour is in honor of her most recent
album, “Fuerza,” which was
released in Mexico and the United States
in November. She composed the majority
of the songs, including the singles “Soy
solo un secreto,” and “Hasta
el final.”
The latter she composed for her teenage
daughter during one the most difficult
times in her life: suffering from breast
cancer for which she had to undergo an
emergency surgery she says she has since
recuperated from.
“I feel very happy to be alive,
to be able to write something good, to
let out that pain and that fear in a song
and tell people that they should live
life,” she said.
“And this album is a hit for me…
because I was able to produce something
after coming out of the hospital with
(the Italian) Lori Cheroni, who is a great
producer… and I was able to talk
about things that have happened to me,
the things I have lived through. I don’t
think I ever enjoyed making an album as
much as I did this one.”
Going through so many ups and downs in
her personal life, including alcohol and
drug scandals, la Guzman said that her
problems showed “to live, to enjoy
each moment.”
“I learned how to say everything
I was feeling and say it without fear
of what might happen. And I learned to
get close to the people who love me the
most, my mother, my daughter, my father
(singer Enrique Guzman) and tell them:
‘¡Carajo! ¡Te quiero!
I am no longer the rebel, the crazy girl
who comes and curses at people. I am your
daughter and I love you.’”
Now she is the spokesperson for Ser, breast
cancer prevention campaign, Guzman makes
a call to young women to perform self
examinations and to be aware.
“It’s never too late,”
she declared. “I was lucky because
I found it early. We have to be conscious
to the fact that it’s a sickness
that gets worse and that we can also prevent,
detect and destroy. It’s a consciousness
thing.”
