04/11/08. Empezamos con
felicitaciones. Primero para Beyoncé por su
boda el pasado viernes con el también músico
Jay-Z. La pareja se empeña en no hacerlo oficial
pero hay cosas que no se le pueden escapar a la prensa.
Felicitamos también a la actriz Jessica Alba,
esta semana se ha sabido que dará a luz a una
niña. La semana ha estado cargada de actos
benéficos de todo tipo. En “Idol Gives
Back” se dejaron ver el miércoles Miley
Cyrus, Fergie, Gloria Estefan, Mariah Carey e incluso
Bono o Brad Pitt. El actor, que fue el gran favorito
del público, representó a su fundación
Make it Right, una de las seis organizaciones que
se beneficiará del dinero recaudado durante
esta campaña. La otra mitad de Brangelina no
se quedó atrás. Jolie participó
en un acto de la organización no gubernamental
Vital Voices Global Partnership para premiar la labor
de la periodista Mariane Pearl, a quién interpretó
en “A Mighty Heart”. Al día siguiente
participó en un encuentro sobre la educación
de niños en zonas en conflicto. Nos cansamos
solo al escribir todo lo que hace esta mujer.
Lo dejamos con otro incansable. George Clooney presentó
“Letherheads” en Londres y aprovechó
su estancia en la capital para hablar con el primer
ministro inglés sobre Darfour.

04/11/08. Let’s
start with some congratulations. First,
for Beyoncé for her wedding last
Friday with musician Jay-Z. The couple
tried to keep it a secret, but there are
just some things that you can’t
hide from the press. We also congratulate
actress Jessica Alba, this week she found
out she was giving birth to a baby girl.
The week has been full of all kinds of
charitable acts. In “Idol Gives
Back” Miley Cyrus, Fergie, Gloria
Estefan, Mariah Carey including Bono and
Brad Pitt came out on Wednesday. The actor,
who was the crowd favorite of the night,
represented his foundation Make it Right,
one of the six organizations benefiting
from the money raised during this event.
The other half of Brangelina was not far
behind. Jolie attended an event held by
the non-governmental organization Vital
Voices Global Partnership to award the
labor of journalist Mariane Pearl, whom
she portrayed in the film “A Mighty
Heart.” The next day she attended
a meeting about the education of children
living in conflict zones. We get tired
just to write about everything this woman
does.
We end this week talking about another
person who never seems to get tired. George
Clooney opened “Leatherheads”
in London and took advantage of his stay
in the British capital to speak with the
English prime minister about Darfur.
